The Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America is gearing up for the 56th Biennial Convention in San Antonio, TX. Members will gather between August 13-18, just steps away from the Riverwalk, to discuss important issues and continue to move OSDIA forward.

In addition, the 2019 Guglielmo Marconi Award Gala will be honoring U.S. Representative Thomas Richard Suozzi. Rep. Suozzi is an Italian American who not only holds public office in representing New York’s 3rd District but has also been a member of the Order’s Loggia Glen Cove #1016 for 28 years - having joined back in 1991!

  • Several DaVinci members participated at the Hearn Academy annual cultural event. Our display table contained a map of Italy, the Italian flag, pottery pieces, books, apron and kitchen towels unique to Sicily, a tri-fold poster board filled with postcards highlighting various Italian cities, pictures of typical foods, and included on the board were every day phrases. The children enjoyed the diversion of the day and the teachers were very welcoming and accommodating. It was great opportunity to share our love of Italy with the children.
