The Leonardo da Vinci Lodge 2992 was chartered in May 2016, with officers and members formally installed on June 25, 2016. As a subordinate lodge of the Order Sons and Daughters of Italy in America (OSDIA), da Vinci Lodge promotes our Italian culture, traditions, and language. Our members meet socially on the second Sunday of the month.
As a west-side lodge, we meet at diverse locations from Scottsdale to Sun City. Our Sunday Social aims to recreate dinner with family and friends, where there is conversation, good humor, and fun. We endeavor to honor our Italian heritage and share our legacy with family, fellow Italian Americans, and those without Italian roots but who love all things Italian.
Our ancestors provided a rich and varied culture and taught us to embrace the arts, education, Italian cuisine, love of family, and a strong work ethic. We ardently want to promote this legacy for future generations of American Italians.
As da Vinci Lodge members we are respected, valued, and encouraged to serve our lodge and the community. We believe in the principles of OSDIA and support designated national charities, such as Alzheimer’s, Autism, and Cooley’s Anemia, as well as local charities such as St. Mary’s Food Bank, No Kid Hungry, and Soldiers’ Best Friend.
We engage in community outreach projects, including the Alzheimer’s Association, and the Scottsdale Italian Festival, we are members of the Arizona Italian-American Chamber of Commerce, and support organizations such as Toys-for-Tots, and other community outreach projects. We host informal social gatherings and fun activities such as Happy Hour, Game or Pizza Night, and Casino Trips. We celebrate La Befana, Carnevale, Heritage/Columbus Celebration, host a Veteran’s Picnic, and welcome Babbo Natale (Santa Clause) with an Italian Christmas Party in December.
We meet on the second Sunday of the month at diverse locations from Scottsdale to Sun City. Guests are always welcome.
