Leonardo DaVinci Lodge #2992  Mar 12, 2020, 9:14 PM

Dear Brothers and Sisters,
With the current update on the spread of the coronavirus,  I believe that it is in  the best interest of all of us health-wise to cancel the following meetings until we have a better understanding and handle on this health issue.  The health and safety of our brothers and sisters is the most important thing right now.
1.  The April 6th Board Meeting - Cancelled
2.  The April 19th General Meeting - Cancelled

3.  The St. Joseph's Table at St. Joan of Arc - cancelled

4.   The Italian Festival - Postponed - one week?

5.   Italian Film Festival - Postponed.

The safety and health of our Brothers and Sisters is the most important thing to all of us right now. It is with you in mind that I feel it is for the best for us not to have any meetings at this time.  I will keep you posted on any developments and pertinent information as it develops.
I pray for all of you to keep in good health.  And lets pray for Italy and everyone in the world. Lets hope  that this pandemic will be under control in as short a time as possible.   Marie Chiaramonte, President

With the recent increase in novel Coronavirus (COVID-19) and in an abundance of caution, National President Nancy DiFiore Quinn is recommending that all state events and meetings, including local lodge installations, either be postponed or restricted to a small gathering.  Attendees who are sick, or medically compromised, are strongly encouraged to not attend any of these events. This restriction is in accordance with the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) guidelines regarding large gatherings.   As always, the safety and well-being of our Brothers and Sisters around the country are most important at this time.  Decisions like these are difficult, but necessary to ensure we all do our part to combat the spread of COVID-19.

Also, please continue to pray for Italy and the terrible crisis that is going on there.  Italy has tightened lockdown after the Coronavirus death toll has soared.  Streets are empty … residents are staying home … and all of this is affecting the economy of our beloved Italy.   Many thanks for doing your part in keeping our OSDIA members and their communities safe.
